Join us for a special pilgrimage to Iona and Findhorn Scotland!
Travel with Celtic Way Pilgrimages to the beautiful, historical, and sacred places of the holy island of Iona and to the modern, eco-spiritual-community of Findhorn!
Participate in the Celtic Christian practices of the ancient saints and learn how these practices are applicable to our modern lives today. Discover a strong spiritual and peaceful connection with the earth and pilgrims of the past that opens up new and full depths for our present. Bring back home new ways to integrate sustainable living and spirituality to help bring depth to a more centered and connected way of life.
Our inward journey will be enhanced by spacious times spent with Celtic liturgy and led meditative sits and services. Our meditative times will include historic and spiritual guidance from Culture Honey Touring’s founder, Georgia Sanders, as well as time-spent with in-country guides. A custom Culture Honey Touring journal and a copy of A Celtic Liturgy by Pat Robson are included in the cost of the pilgrimage.
Our outward pilgrimage will begin in the energetic city of Glasgow. There we will explore Glasgow’s lovely cathedral and rich spiritual history, as well as partake in a wonderful Scottish ‘Welcome Dinner’! After an overnight stay in Glasgow we will travel by train, coach, and ferry to Oban and the beautiful Inner Hebrides.
Our small group will rest and retreat for four nights on Iona. Our days will include: exploration in led prayer walks on the island, focus and reflection times as a small group, morning/evening prayers at the historical Iona Abbey, and a good amount spacious personal time for reflection and further deepening experience.
In addition to our sojourn on the island of Iona, this fall we’ve added a very special journey to the eco-community of Findhorn! The Findhorn community is located in Moray in northeast Scotland and was founded in the 1960’s. It has become known throughout the world as a premier eco-spiritual community, implementing the UN-Habitat model of Best Practice for holistic and sustainable living. We will have three nights there and each guest will have the ability to choose participation in a variety of spiritual and physical practices and learning each day. Our focus will be learning to live in more sustainable and loving unity with other people and our shared home of the earth.
From Findhorn we will travel to the Scottish capital city of Edinburgh for a lovely ‘Farewell Dinner’. After an overnight stay, our pilgrimage will conclude the following morning.
Costs are based on double-occupancy accommodations. Celtic Way Pilgrimages will do our best to accommodate the request, but there may be additional fees associated with reserving a private room at any point in our journey.
